Wellington Quarter, Woolwich

Delivered for a private developer in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Wellington Quarter comprises 127 apartments across 14 storeys over a single-level basement. Appointed for RIBA Stages 4 and 5, Shorten optimised and rationalised the consented design to unlock significant additional value — securing planning approval for an extra floor and three additional ground-floor units within the existing structural envelope. The refined design increased efficiency, improved buildability, and delivered a GDV uplift of approximately 10%.
