Church Hill Road, Surbiton
Church Hill Road is a six-storey residential development comprising 24 apartments, delivered post-planning at RIBA Stages 4 and 5. The scheme features a brick external façade with a fully structural SFS framing system, selected in collaboration with the client for its speed of delivery, lightweight efficiency, and embodied cost savings. The approach reduced foundation loads, scaffold and crane requirements, and overall programme duration—demonstrating Shorten’s focus on practical, commercially intelligent technical design.
