Lynton Road, Southwark

Lynton Road is a four-storey residential scheme delivering 19 homes, comprising six affordable duplex units with direct street access and 13 apartments above. Appointed at the outset of RIBA Stage 4, Shorten led a detailed construction feasibility review which demonstrated that an RC frame solution offered greater efficiency than the client’s assumed traditional masonry approach. The revised structure achieved significant savings in cost and programme while simplifying delivery management, resulting in a more robust and commercially advantageous design.
