Hyde Vale, Greenwich
Situated within the Greenwich Conservation Area, Hyde Vale comprises six three-storey townhouses over basements on an exceptionally constrained urban site. Appointed for RIBA Stage 4, Shorten transformed a consented but largely unbuildable design into a fully coordinated and deliverable scheme. Through targeted planning amendments, complex underpinning of the adjacent Grade II-listed property, and detailed technical resolution, the project was steered to buildability and commercial viability within a highly sensitive historic context.
